elsewhere table

Elsewhere Table is a flexible dining table, designed to accommodate a changing number of residents and guests. The legs and frame are repurposed from damaged ceiling rafters. The surface is made from decommissioned projects and scrap wood from the collection of the living museum. The surface was finished to preserve the patina of dirt and paint from these various pieces of wood. The three sections of the table pivot to be positioned as a large square or a long, narrow rectangle or a diagonal formation. Moving the table requires a group of participants, which can be seen in the video of it’s inaugural installation.
